Meet Squeaky
Hello, I’m Squeaky!
I showed up in my foster mom’s yard this summer. I kept hanging around every day looking for food and water and trying, unsuccessfully, to catch the birds near the feeder. Originally, she thought I was feral (which is why my ear is tipped) so she trapped me and had me spayed! Once she trapped me, she found out that I was NOT hissing at her as she suspected. I had a REALLY bad upper respiratory infection. It was so bad I had to stay with an amazing lady for almost two weeks for treatment, but I am ALL better now.
I’m called Squeaky because I don’t have a very loud meow…sometimes it is just a peep! I do tend to breathe loudly and snore at times, but the vet says I am fine! I am up to date on all of my vaccinations.
I am about 1 to 2 years old, but still pretty tiny. My foster mom tells me I am VERY pretty! My purr is VERY loud! I can be very shy at times and get scared easily. Noisy places tend to overwhelm me and I don't enjoy being picked up. I would probably do best in a house with older children or adults. I love to play with my cat toys, especially ones I can chase. One day I KNOW I will get that red dot!
I get along with my foster mom’s other cats, but I don't know about dogs, so I will need to meet your doggy if you have one.
I feel safest when I am up on a higher perch and also love to sharpen my nails so my foster mom says a scratching post is a must.
Once I do feel safe with you I will curl up on your lap and fall asleep or I will lay right next to you on the couch purring very loud. I like to curl up and sleep under the covers next to you at night, too!
If you are interested in learning more about any of our pets, you must complete an online cat application at www.rescueahart.org. The application will put you in touch with the foster family so you can schedule a meet/greet.
