Who doesn't love potatoes ten different ways?! Spud the cat is our preferred variation of America's favorite tuber. Spud joined us at STAF on the day of his birth in 2011, and has been a volunteer favorite ever since.

This jolly orange man loves to meet friends - old and new - and will wrap himself around your neck as he snuggles in for some lovin'. Once you're his friend, you're in it for life. And everyone who meets Spud is a friend! He'll giddily greet volunteers who have been away for weeks or months at a time, as though he's saying he's happy to see them and eager to hear all about where they have been. After the greeting, Spud is happy to settle in for some belly rubs and ear scratches, and will repay you with the fluffiest air biscuits in town.

Spud has lived among other cats for his entire life, though he's not especially bonded with any of his roommates. We think he would be perfectly happy to be an only cat or settle in with other laid back pets. Our boy has managed gastrointestinal issues that require attentive care. But if you want an amusing love potato and are willing to care for his needs, Spud is your little dude!
DOB 2011

Cat adoption information and application can be found at www.staf.org.
All cats and kittens have been vet-checked, spayed/neutered, and are up-to-date on vaccinations. Adoption fee includes carrier, scratching pad, starter pack of food and litter, and toy. We prefer kittens be adopted in pairs. We offer free advice anytime about your adopted cat. If, for any reason, it doesn't work out, we will take the cat back, anytime in the future. Potential adopters must be interviewed in person, at the shelter, and live within 150 miles of Cincinnati. We will ask you to return to the shelter for a second visit to be sure of your decision. Sorry, we do not ship our cats or kittens! Please email Jean at jean@staf.org for more info. on adopting!
