From some angles I may appear to be a plain tabby, but check out my butt! I broke my tail a while back (grace is NOT among my attributes) and now that it has been amputated, I have a cute little stump of a tail, like a bear or bunny. I still like to wiggle it, and it doesn’t hurt me. I still like being petted all over, even on or near my stump. Fur has grown over it quite nicely, if I don't say so myself.
I have recently rediscovered the joys of being held and petted. Formerly I was more of a cat of action and didn’t care to sit still that long, but now I wiggle my little tail stump and make happy noises and stretch out and really relax. I am told I am quite pleasant to hold.
I have a deep, throaty, sustained yowl and a lot of expressive vocalizations that are sure to grab your attention. I like to share my feelings with my favorite people.
Not a shy boy, I also say “hi” to visitors and pet sitters. If someone will pet or feed me, they are my best friend without further introduction.
I really enjoy being around other cats that are my friends, but I have not been around dogs or kids. If startled or handled roughly, I may lash out to protect myself, so small children who don’t yet know how to respect a cat’s purrsonal boundaries may not be a good match for me.
My other “pet peeves” include being put into cat carriers, as I tend to be a bit claustrophobic in general. A home with a catyard or catio or a lot of space would be preferable.
I love to eat and am not picky. Having enjoyed various culinary delights including raw diet, kibble, and canned food, I must say my favorite is whatever is the most plentiful...give it to me NOW!
I have had no known health issues other than the amputated tail and my fearfulness about being put into a carrier.
I really am a sweet boy and a good match for someone who wants a very vocal and visible cat with a big purrsonality.
My long-term fosterer is going to have to go to smaller digs, and since I dislike confinement, she thinks I will be happier if she finds me a Sprite-sized home, preferably where I can still have access to a catyard or catio.
