Sparrow... Grey Tabby and White; Domestic shorthair, neutered male; Approximately 1 ½ years old as of July 2016.
I was found as a stray in Waverly in July of 2016. I was hungry and scared and had an injury to my left eye. I was so happy to be taken in. The vets decided to remove my left eye as I would never be able to see with it. I get around great with one eye. I am just a big bubble of love and affection. I warm up very quickly to new people and animals. I am very sweet, loving and playful! I love to snuggle and give kisses. I love other cats and humans so much. I actively seek out attention and love from other cats and humans. I am just a joy to have around. I am very sweet and loving to all the other fosters in my foster home. I seem to know how to seek out the ones that are more scared and help them feel better. One of the other fosters really helped me when I first got rescued and I like to return that favor to everyone else. Pay it forward. I have a friend named Raven. We did not come from the same place but have become best friends so if you are looking for two cats at this time I would like to be adopted with him. He is my best buddy. However, I make friends very easily so would become friends with other cats in your home as long as they are friendly.
11/22/17 It is required that Sparrow and Raven get adopted together into the same home. They are very bonded and are best friends so need to stay together.

Sparrow's and Raven's adoption fee is $95.00 each adoption fee for a total of $190 for both cats. Both were neutered, tested neg. for FeLK/FIV, UTD on vaccinations. Sparrow also had his left eye removed and sewn shut.
WE ARE A NO-KILL 501-C-3 NON-PROFIT RESCUE. All donations are tax deductible. We do not have a shelter. All pets live in foster homes. We only adopt to indoor homes. To see an animal, you must fill out an application first and then once approved, we can set up for you to meet the animal you are interested in. We do background checks on all applicants. If you have assault, domestic abuse, or drug charges please do not apply. If you have questions, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
All animals see a vet for shots and normal exams. If they appear healthy and there are no obvious health concerns, then extensive testing is not done. This is normal procedure for pet rescues and shelters.
Waverly Pet Rescue puts a lot of money into medical care for each dog and cat we take in. $150 is the average cost for basic care. This does not include if the animal had an injury, required extra flea / ear mite treatments, or needed extra days at the vet office.
