Sparrow... Grey Tabby and White; Domestic shorthair, neutered male; Approximately 5 ½ years old as of July 2020.

Sparrow is…
~ a big bubble of sweetness, love and affection.
~ loving and affectionate to new people and animals immediately.
~ great with all people, kids, and cats/dogs.
~ very sweet, loving and playful!
~ a snuggler and gives kisses.
~ just a joy to have around.
~ a beautiful one-eyed boy (Jack Sparrow)

Sparrow was found as a stray in Waverly in July of 2016. He was hungry and scared and had an injury to his left eye. He was so happy to be taken in. The vets decided to remove his left eye as he would never be able to see with it. He gets around great with one eye.

Sparrow is just a big bubble of love and affection. He warms up very quickly to new people and animals. He is very sweet, loving and playful! He loves to snuggle and give kisses. He loves other cats and humans so much. He actively seeks out attention and love from other cats and humans. He is just a joy to have around.

Sparrow needs to be adopted into a home that has another friendly cat that he can play with. Or his good friends are Raven and Danny if you are interested in adopting 3 cats.

The adoption fee is $95.00. He is neutered, tested neg. for FeLK/FIV, UTD on vaccinations. Sparrow also had his left eye removed and sewn shut.


WE ARE A NO-KILL 501-C-3 NON-PROFIT RESCUE. All donations are tax deductible. We do not have a shelter. All pets live in foster homes. We only adopt to indoor homes. To see an animal, you must fill out an application first and then once approved, we can set up for you to meet the animal you are interested in. We do background checks on all applicants. All animals see a vet for shots and normal exams. If they appear healthy and there are no obvious health concerns, then extensive testing is not done. This is normal procedure for pet rescues and shelters.
Waverly Pet Rescue puts a lot of money into medical care for each dog and cat we take in. $150 is the average cost for basic care. This does not include if the animal had an injury, required extra flea / ear mite treatments, or needed extra days at the vet office.
