Meet Sox

Yoshi, Sox, and Nick Furry came into Rescue just after July 4th after being found hiding in a garage here in Grand Rapids. They were very timid and unsure of people, spending most of their day hiding under the bed in foster Mom’s guest room. After a few weeks of socialization, lots of snuggles at the Vet Clinic before their spay and neuters, and many teaser toys later - these babies are finally ready for adoption! Foster Mom says all three kittens now happily greet her the moment she opens the bedroom door, and have done well being introduced to strangers.

We aren’t certain if all three are littermates, but suspect they are! None are bonded with one another and can be adopted separately.

Sox
My foster kids named me after Sox from the movie “Lightyear” (beep boop beep). Like my namesake, I too get distracted by lasers! I was the most cautious of my littermates, acting like a protector. I’m also the most likely to get in trouble because I love to jump and climb. I can jump from the floor to my foster Mom’s shoulder! I’m always knocking the bin of cat toys off the dresser and onto the floor in the middle of the night because that’s where my favorite fluffy teaser toy is! I need a home where my boundaries will be respected, and would do best with another cat or kitten. I’m extremely curious about the foster cat that roams around the basement. I’ve learned that people who respect my boundaries are okay and happily run up to foster Mom for pets and scratches!

My favorite things:
Teaser toys
Fluffy plush toys
Wet food and squeezy treats
Jumping and climbing

Things I definitely don’t like:
Being held or picked up
Consistently loud environments
The vacuum

About my personality:
Curious about everything outside
No shelf is safe from me! I love to be up high, high, high and will find my most favorite toys even if you hide them
Spend most of my time with my litter mate, Nick Furry. Foster Mom thinks I’d do best with another cat in the home - I tend to be more submissive.
Not a fan of noisy toys, like the rattle balls on tracks
Teaser toys, plush toys, balls, and anything with feathers are my favorite - I can and will play for hours
Medium-High energy

I am neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.
