Meet Soldier

Hi, My name is Soldier. I am a 8 and a half year old guy who was brought in to CPHS over 2 years ago when my owner was unable to care for me any longer. When I arrived, I was totally shut down and did not want anything to do with people. With the help of staff and volunteers, I have come leaps and bounds and I am now allowing some handling. I've found that I do enjoy attention, but I still prefer everything to be on my terms and will let you know when I've had enough. I will need a home without children as I do have a tendency to bite when my space is not respected. I can tolerate other cats being around, but I do not want them in my face. I would prefer a home without dogs. My ideal home is one with a family who will allow me to do my own thing and come around on my terms, but still help me to feel secure. Could it be you? 2 years is too long to wait, please help me find my forever home.
