Snowball was stray in Waverly, Iowa. Some kind people in SE Waverly have been feeding many stray cats over the years. Waverly Pet Rescue is going to start helping them one or two at a time. There's about 25 of them. Snowball was the 19th one we took in. So Snowball is now a WPR cat. She is now up to date on shots, and spayed, and tested FeLV / FIV negative. 5/23/18 Snowball had her teeth cleaned. It was really needed so we got that done!

Snowball is about 5-1/2 years old as of January 2023. She had kittens inside the home in Waverly we she was only 8 months old, a baby herself. She was a good mother. Rosie we think is her sister, they are about same size and coloring. They shared duties taking care of and nursing 5 kittens, we are not sure which kittens belong to which cat since they cared for all of them. The kittens are now about are 12 weeks old. They are: Melody, Peaches, Shaq, Jasmine, and Diesel. All the kittens and Rosie have been adopted.

Snowball is a sweetie once she gets to know you. Change was hard for her at 1st. She stayed away and didn't want to interact with me at all. After about 2 weeks is when she settled in and her personality came out. Best to start her off in a room alone until she bonds with you. Snowball does love to be petted, especially her chin and her butt area. She is a little hesitant to be carried around so older children with kitty manner only for her, If given time and proper introductions, she is ok with other cats. Snowball also had a UTI that has cleared up with meds and eating Science Diet urinary food or even Royal Canin urinary food.

3/17/18 UPDATE FROM SNOWBALL: "Hi! I'm Snowball, but my humans affectionately call me "Snow." I love being talked to, especially since I get startled easily. When you talk to me sweetly, I get more relaxed and snuggly. Sweet talking is super important to me.

I love to play! I get mischievous sometimes, but it's almost always because I'm bored. My life quest is to catch the red dot (laser pointer)! I run after it so fast, but it's just too sneaky. I've been called a "bandit." I'm not sure what that means, but my foster humans keep walking around looking for things that are fun to play with, especially removable door stops and Kleenex. Also, I own a red sponge toy. I carry it around all over - you can't have it.?

When I first got to my new place, I was scared for a quite awhile. My foster human was really patient with me, and now we're best buddies. I like to snuggle in bed, and follow my foster human around the house. After my foster human was real sweet to me, I eventually learned to loosen up. I don't usually sit in laps, but I compromise on occasion when you prove that you're awesome. Either way I'll be nearby. Sometimes I try to get under the blankets, or snuggle up against my foster human's legs. I like to be around my foster human. In the mornings, I hang out near the shower curtain. It's warm when they spray themselves with water! I also love to sit in the bathroom sink.

I don't mind being picked up and held, but I do get wiggly pretty quickly. Just put me down, so I don't get scared. You can pick me up again soon, and eventually I'll trust you enough to let you hold me for a long time!"

2/18/19 UPDATE: Snowball is doing well and has become much more outgoing, happy, and cuddly. When company comes over she is cautious for a few minutes but then comes out to say hi and see what's going on. She says hi whenever I sit down and purrs while rubbing up against me. On occasion she gets a little mischievous, but overall she's matured into a very happy and sweet cat who is just a bit excitable on occasion.

Will someone please adopt Snowball and give her a forever home? $95 adoption fee.
