Smokey-Tripod- FIV+ Domestic Short Hair Warwick, RI

Are you looking for a very special, handsome kitty? Meet Smokey! He is around 5 years old and just the sweetest. Smokey has had a rough past. He is FIV+. He came to us when a concerned citizen found him limping outside. She had NO idea where he came from. Once trapped and received vet care, we soon realized he had been hit by a car and required a leg amputation. We were still unsure whether Smokey was indeed feral or just really scared. But after his leg amputation and a few days to recover, it was clear this boy was the sweetest.

Smokey had another scare when we noticed his breathing labored. His heart appeared to look large on an xray. We sent him for an echocardiogram where the cardiologist told us his heart appeared perfectly normal.

Now it's time to find his forever home. This boy has been through some trauma. He is no way in the most perfect condition. But he is perfect to us. He is so loveable. He likes the company of other submissive cats. He in a gentle giant. Gets around great on his three legs. He LOVES his food and it's important to keep him at a healthy weight due to being on only 3 legs. Please consider Smokey for adoption, you won't be sorry!

The adoption fee covers the following vetting, spay/neuter, rabies vaccinated, distemper vaccinated, combo test, flea treatment, dewormed, and microchip.  

Adoption Process: 
- Adoption Application
- Vet Reference (Please call your vet ahead of time to give permission to release records to our adoption team.)
- Home visit (Please make sure you are located in our vicinity, we are based out of Warwick, RI.)
- If renting, landlord's contact information must be provided so that our adoption team can seek approval.

FYI: Many of our cats are located in foster homes.  An adoption application must be approved prior to meeting our cats.  This is for the safety of our fosters and potential adopters.
