Meet Smokey ~ Long Haired ~ 1yr Male

Smokey loves attention.. because of his long hair he needs someone who is experienced with long haired cats. He is so beautiful and his coloring is unusual. It is black with tinges of brown. Smokey likes to be brushed, but not for too long.. He is currently with a temp foster in the Bay Area. He has been de-wormed. He is neutered, chipped, vaccinated.
He tested positive for FIV, which means he needs to live indoors, be with cats who don't fight. He seems to do better on dry food. When he eats wet food ( which we think is great) - he gets diarrhea. We are hoping once he gets in a stable home, the new owner will be able to get his diet and gut issues more smooth.
A cat with FIV can live a long time - it is transmitted with deep bit wounds. Probably happened when he was living on the streets.
Smokey is super loveable and wants to be your new BFF.
