- Vaccinations up to date, spayed / neutered, special needs. Slim shady was also diagnosed with a disease called Feline Immunodeficiency virus (FIV). This is a disease that is transmitted between cats through bite wounds and causes a generalized weakened immune system. Due to this, it is possible that Cayenne may be more susceptible to acquiring disease/illness throughout her life, and may require increases veterinary wellness checkup/monitoring treatment overtime. This illness cannot be transmitted to people, but can be transmitted through cats with bite wounds. Due to this, Cayenne may need to be the only cat in the household. We strongly encourage any future adopters to fully research this disease prior to adoption to determine if Cayenne is the right fit for their household.
