Meet Slim Jim
Hi, my name is Slim Jim. Some people call me "Jimbo", which I like because I heard the infamous "meat stick" is pretty awful! I came here with my brother, Friar Tuck, because our owner passed away. Sadly, no one in the family could take us, so we had to be returned to the shelter. We lived together and were friends all of our lives, so we felt so depressed when we had to be by ourselves, away from the only home we've ever known. It's been about three months now, so I have stopped grieving so much. I feel a little better, hopeful that someone can provide me with a home filled with kindness and love. I'm very friendly and affectionate, always rubbing against you for attention and pets. Even though I'm a larger cat, I don't mind being picked up and held. I will briefly sit on your lap for pets, and seem like a potential lap cat if I find the right home. I'm eleven years old, but still have a playful side. I like wand toys, but most of the time I would rather be petted. I have no medical issues and am not on any special diet, although I would benefit from cat food formulated for senior cats. Since I'm an older cat (you would never know it!), I would be happiest in a calm, quiet home without younger children and a lot of activity. If you are looking for a low-key companion who would be happy sitting in a sunny window or beside you on the couch, then I will fit your needs. There are many perks that come with adopting a senior pet, especially one truly in need of a home. We show gratitude and love in immeasurable ways, so won't you consider adding me and my brother to your family? I'm a big cat with an even bigger heart, and I would love to share it with you!
Friar Tuck and Slim Jim are a bonded pair, meaning they need to be adopted together.
