Good with kids: Older children (teen plus) are more his vibe.

HISTORY: Tommy is a street cat from Egypt. Life is extremely cruel to street cats and dogs from Egypt. Tommy had a hard life before he was rescued.

Somehow, he survived. The stories this boy could tell if he could only talk. Tommy has lived!! When he was rescued, he was thin and dishevelled. He also had some broken teeth that needed to be removed.

Given a clean bill of health by the vet, Tommy is ready to start the next chapter of his life: living in a home, safe and secure, not having to worry about the next car coming by and driving over him, having people throw stones at him or kick him with a stick (as Egyptians do) or always having one eye open as he looks out for the pack of hungry street dogs searching for food (of which cats are one source).

PERSONALITY: From tough guy to mush guy, Tommy is a sucker for love.

This handsome fella is highly intelligent. He would never have survived Egypt if he wasn’t.

As you can see in his video, he ADORES humans. Having experienced the cruel side of humans, Tommy has had to learn there are good humans and there are bad humans.

Once he knows you are a good human, he is full on. This boy has figured out what the Love of a human is all about. He is only too happy to give Love and receive Love …. in spades. Many belly rub and head butt sessions are in your future with this Love bug.

Spending time with you is his passion. Watching sports or binging on your favourite TV show, hanging out beside you as you work on your laptop and sleeping with you at night are his favourite things to do.

When you are busy or not home, Tommy entertains himself. He loves to play. He plays well on his own, chasing a ball or training for his next Wak-A-Ball tournament …. of which he has won a few. :)

He also gets great enjoyment watching the birds and squirrels outside so a good view of nature is essential for this sweet Spirit. A tall scratch tree would also not go amiss as Tommy loves heights. He likes to feel like he’s on top of the world!

Tommy is generally a quiet lad, but he will speak up to let you know when it’s time to eat. He is a sucker for wet food!

A gentle chap, he is fine with older kids (teen plus) as long as they are gentle, calm, kind and respectful (i.e. no pulling tails or him up against his will).

IDEAL HOME ENVIRONMENT: Tommy would be best as the only pet in a quiet, calm and stable home. He needs to know he will never be abandoned again. Tommy would be best with an experienced cat parent who can recognize and appreciate Tommy for the sensitive and ‘deep’ Soul that he is. A retired or mature couple would be perfect for this unique and deserving Spirit.
