Meet Simba- Courtesy Post

This is our Simba who we brought in to our attached garage with heated bed and lots of space back in December in hope's to bring him in. Simba started visiting over three months ago and we were feeding him...in December he started visiting regularly. One night I pulled into our driveway, I opened my car and he jumped in and sat on my lap. The next day the snowstorm was going to hit and we knew Simba had to come in. We got him into our attached garage and set him up in there with a nice big warm heated bed and food and water and toys and treats and of course his litter box. He was going to get neutered 2 weeks later. He is very sweet but does have a little frisky issues. He is very loveable but rarely he will decide to swat my foot but no nails out. Then if I pet him on his head he usually loves it but rarely he will swat my hand without claws being out. He obviously has a little bit of defense issues due to what he had to deal with when outdoors. He really is a sweet kitty and listens well. Our hearts break for him. I believe he was abandoned from his past owners when they found out he was sick. He definitely knows the indoor environment.
Our plan was to get him neutered and have him interact with our 3 other indoor cats. When getting him neutered we asked them to test him for Feline diseases. Sadly, we were told both Feline Aids and Feline Leukemia test came back positive.
Our hearts broken we knew he could not join our other cats. As much as we love Simba and want him here with us we know that is not the best situation for Simba. He needs a loving home with no other pets.
We have all the love to give but not the home that is suitable for him. He deserves to be where someone who does not have other pets and can be as happy as happy can be. Our hearts are broken and hope Simba can be adopted in a new loving home. We are not sure about Simba's age but has a kitten personality but believe he could be 5 years old.
