Meet Simba
Simba is a 7-year-old neutered male with a orange classic tabby coat that is bunny soft. He loves dogs - the Husky in his previous home was his best friend and they played together a lot. He also does well with older gentle children. Simba is shy about meeting strangers, but warms up quickly with a soft voice and the gentle touch of your hand. Simba is leery of other cats and would prefer to be the only feline member of your family. He was surrendered to the shelter on 11/16/18 because the other cat in his previous home bullied him and would from time to time guard the litter box or chase Simba out of it. He seems so pleased to now have a litter box that is always available to him without fear. Simba is very affectionate and loving with his family members, but will hide from strangers. He simply scares easily and the chaos of being a shelter resident is quite overwhelming for him. You will find that Simba is quite the independent couch potato during the day and saves play time for early evenings. His favorite toys are small catnip mice that he can easily bat around and toss into the air. He had lived in the same home most of his life, so this is quite a change for poor Simba. He loves attention, but really wants to be back in a loving home. He is looking for a patient owner that will give him extra time to adjust, and will provide him with plenty of time for being petted and played with. A quiet household would be perfect for this handsome fellow.
