Meet Silas Buttonwood
Silas is a handsome, lynx-point siamese mix, (Birthday about 6/2020), with slightly crossed blue eyes.
Silas was a feral kitten we trapped when he was 6 months old. He will do best with someone who is EXPERIENCED with cat behavior. He is friendly. You can pick him up for short periods. He purrs easily and he seeks out attention. He will sit on your lap, purring up a storm, BUT he can be fearful of new situations and people, and possibly hiss if challenged. He has not been aggressive with us.
Silas is also funny. He loves freeze dried minnow treats and will come to you and gently take them from your hand. When he runs he looks like a bunny and his tail is straight up and rigid like a stick.
In a quiet home with a patient person/s who respects Silas’s roots, he will continue to blossom. He's already doing great. HE MUST BE ADOPTED INTO A HOME WITH ANOTHER CAT/S if he is not adopted with his stepsister, Posey (see her listing).
Silas LOVES other cats.
Silas is bonded to his friend, Posey. We would prefer they be adopted together, so preference will be made to adopters who can take two cats, but it's not a must. (see her petfinder listing for more).
The adoption fee for each cat is $250.($350 for both Posey and Silas) They are fully vetted and microchipped,
Due to COVID, we have changed how we do adoptions. You will meet our foster cats via zoom or facetime. Then you will take your new cats home with you (approved adopters only). We will take the cats back if it is not a good fit, but prior to adoption we will do our best to make sure it's a good match for everyone. WE ARE SORRY, BUT WE CANNOT DUE OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS AT THIS TIME.
