Meet Sierra & Quartez (Bonded Pair)

Sierra and Quartez are a bonded pair looking for their forever home!

Sierra is a 2.5-year-old female grey tabby, and Quartez is an approximately 3- or 4-year-old male orange tabby. They are a true love story-- they met and became close in a shelter in Northern Minnesota, but then Sierra was sent alone by the shelter to Pet Haven. Separated from Quartez, Sierra was very sad and wouldn't let anyone near her. Finally, the wonderful folks at Pet Haven did some investigating and realized that Sierra had a best friend at the shelter in northern Minnesota. They arranged for Quartez to be sent to Pet Haven, and the couple was reunited at Pet Haven (see pictures), where they immediately had a big hug. They are a true bonded pair.

Sierra is a sweet girl who is quite shy and needs a special human to learn to trust and come out of her shell. She has spent most of her life in a shelter, but is getting used to living in a house. She is very close to Quartez, who is much more outgoing and takes good care of her. Quartez always checks in with Sierra to see how she’s doing, and Sierra relies on Quartez to check out the environs and new humans.

It is such a special feeling when trust is established with Sierra and she comes out of her shell. Once she trusts her people, she loves to be petted and get belly rubs. Quartez is not only a loving and engaged companion to Sierra but to his people as well.

Sierra and Quartez love to play and chase each other around the house. They also love to play with catnip mice, plastic spring toys, and dangly toys. They use scratching posts often and like dangly play toys. If there is a throw rug around, they enjoy playing with their toys in it.

Sierra and Quartez like to eat, sleep, look out the windows at the birds and squirrels, and play, especially together! They need a moderate amount of exercise. Once trust is established, they love to be petted and interact with their human.

They are living in a multilevel townhome with one person.

Their ideal home would be a small to medium home with one or two loving, friendly adults.

Specific experience and willingness to work with a very shy cat who takes a while to trust and open up is needed.

There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown. All ages and breeds are best estimate.

Adoption fees include a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%.

All cats have received comprehensive veterinary care and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV unless otherwise stated. Cats are up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and/or ear mites, de-wormed, and microchipped.
