Shrek's Story

Birthday: May 4, 2023

Special kitties and the people who love them deserve special treatment. That’s why Shrek has a watercolor portrait which will be given as our gift to the special person who adopts him.

Somebody once told us that the world was gonna rule us, but we don't think it was the world who was going to do it; we think it's kitties! Just look at Shrek! You can just look at her and say, "Yep! This lady is going to be my whole world!" But, just like her moniker, Shrek has many layers.

Shrek was discovered along with her siblings under a porch. It was a difficult living situation for them, and when the litter was brought to LCCR, they had to learn how to adapt to their new living situation. Shrek has had a tougher time than her siblings. She is a little introverted and enjoys her alone time. Sure, she might be a striking little lady, but she's also very reserved. She seems to think that humans value their personal space, and she's willing to respect that.

While Shrek isn't much of a outgoing chatty Cathy, she does have a side of her that just makes you want to give her the world! She's not much when it comes to interacting with humans, but there is something she does that states otherwise! You see, Shrek here is incredibly food motivated! If you have a bit of food on your finger, she'll clean it off for you! She also has a playful side that few will ever get to witness! If you're one of her most trusted buddies, you might be lucky enough to witness it! If you want to really make her feel at home, give her a nice, soft cat bed! This girl loves her naptime more than anything, and this will just make her day even better!

Shrek's adoption donation is $115 which includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing, microchip, and spay.

If you would like more information on Shrek, please contact Robin at lovingcarecatrescue@gmail.com. If you would like to fill out an online application, please visit https://alovingcarecatrescue.org/adoptionapplicationonline.html

Please note: LCCR does not allow our adopted cats and kittens to be declawed. All adopted kitties are to be kept as indoor-only pets.
