Reed (formerly known as Shredder) is very a mild-mannered and sweet boy who loves to cuddle. This orange tabby was rescued by Feline Lifeline volunteers when a homeowner discovered some kittens living beneath her back deck. During his initial bath to remove fleas, Shredder shredded the gloves his bather wore and earned his nickname but don't worry. With frequent nail trims, he's learned not to tear up anything else! Playful and friendly, this male kitten enjoys playing with toys and exploring his surroundings, but he is sometimes a loner, not seeming to fit in with the other foster cats. Even though he was found living with 3 other kittens, the vet said he was older (estimated to be 4 months old on 8/6/21) and speculated the Mama Cat had abandoned him. Because of that, we think he craves affection from his people, and he can feel left out with other cats around. He loves to curl up in your lap and he lets his foster mom craddle him like a baby! He has been in foster care in a home with an elderly dog, so he should be okay in a home with calm canines and maybe other cats. However, we'd love to see him go to a home where he'll be the only pet and the center of attention. He has received all age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormer, and flea preventative; tested negative for Feline Leukemia and FIV; and is microchipped. His neuter appointment is scheduled.
