Hi my name is Shorty.

I'm a DSH black 9-year-old beautiful, sweet and affectionate boy looking for a home with a family to give me everlasting love.

I found myself in foster care as I came from a hoarding situation and needed time to reacclimate and learn to trust people and I have gotten plenty of SOCIALIZATION in my foster home.

I love to lick your fingers and your hands while you pet me and THAT'S MY WAY OF GIVING YOU KISSES ? I will circle around you for as long as you will let me snuggle into your nose and receive all the pets in the world.

I have learned to love catnip and really enjoy playing with my birdie.

I even started doing this new thing. When my mommy sits on the floor I crawl up into her lap and put my paws on her shoulder and rub her cheek with my nose. She says it's the sweetest thing I do.

I am still learning to be picked up, however, if you are sitting on the floor or in a seated position, I am there for all the loving you are able to give me. I will be on your lap and snuggling your arms and curling up next to you as long as you give me that chance.

I love my treats (Churo's) and a small amount of wet food for breakfast, other than that my foster mommy free feeds me hard cat food all day.

I did have to have a biopsy on my tongue because I had a small mass but it came back benign, it was just an acid reflex irritation which causes me no problems whatsoever.

I get along with cats and small dogs with a slow introduction. I don't think small dogs will be a problem, as my foster mommy's maltipoo just seems interesting so I just stare at him and watch what he does.

I would do best in a home with older children and a loving family, a stay at home. Mom or Dad, or a new/old couple wanting to adopt their first baby.

I only have one downfall….. I am scared to death of ceiling fans.!!!

I just hope that's not a deal breaker.
