FIV stand for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus. FIV typically causes a weakening of the cat’s immune system. It is the same class of virus as HIV (a lentivirus); however, only cats can get FIV. People and dogs cannot. If you are interested in this cat, we recommend doing your own research on the disease before applying.
Feline Leukemia is a virus that is highly contagious in cats. It can be transmitted through saliva, blood, and to some extent, urine and feces but only to other cats. The virus suppresses the immune system so cats with the disease can become very ill when exposed to other diseases. We recommend they be the only cat or live with other cats with the virus.
