Meet Sherbert
After a year in her adoptive home, Sherbert was recently returned to us. According to her owners, after they had to treat her for a kitty cold, she went from the overly-affectionate and rambunctious kitten we knew her as, to a more reserved cat who preferred to hide. Knowing she was unhappy in her home, she was returned to us so we could find her a better fit.
Sherbert would likely prefer a quieter home with someone who will just let her do her own thing. She greets us at the door for pets and will come over to us so we can love on her, but then she just prefers to go and have a nap in a quiet corner or watch the other cats in her room from up high. She has always been around other cats, so she would likely be fine living with a calmer adult cat and/or a home with no small children to pester her.
Sherbert is only a little over a year old, but she seems to have an old soul about her. She has had a check-up at the vet to make sure she is in good health.
All adopters must be pre-approved, so please visit our website to fill out the adoption application and we'll be in touch to set up an appointment to meet her. Click on the "How to Adopt" tab at www.humanesocietyofwa.org to find our Cat Adoption Application.
She is negative for FIV and FeLK, spayed, and current on vaccinations. Vet records are provided to adopters. Our Adoption Fee is $75, to help pay for a fraction of veterinary costs and general care expenses.
