Shayla Domestic Long Hair Sweetwater, TN

Shayla is a gorgeous long-haired black cat with a soft heart and a brave spirit. She lived for years with an untreated urinary tract infection, but is now healthy and doing well on urinary care food. Her adopter should continue her on urinary care food and monitor for any signs of recurrence.

Shayla is unfortunately front-declawed, so she must be an indoor-only cat for her safety. She needs soft litter to avoid pain in her sensitive paws and prefers a very clean litter box—ideally more than one. She’s looking for a patient, understanding adopter who knows the special care declawed cats may need, and behaviors that are common with declawed cats.

This sweet girl loves attention and being pet. While she might be a little hissy at first with other cats, she’s coexisted well once she’s settled in.

Shayla is affectionate, gentle, and ready to find the loving, indoor home she truly deserves. She Is around 3 years old, fixed, UTD on vaccines, microchipped, and ready for her forever home.

Included is a picture of litter she has been using and doing well with. If her boxes are not clean, she will find somewhere clean to use the bathroom. I believe this is a learned behavior from her past UTI & home circumstances. If you keep her litter soft & clean, with multiple boxes, she will do fine
