LOOKING FOR THE PERFECT INDOOR-OUTDOOR KITTY? Sharkey is a beautiful young female gray and white tuxedo kitty who is 3 years old. She was adopted as a kitten, but her adopters have had a drastic change of life circumstances and can no longer keep her. She is independent, but friendly. She likes to snuggle a bit in the morning, but is not needy and entertains herself. Sharkey has great house manners, and doesn’t scratch the furniture, but she is bonkers about wanting to be outside and will freak out if denied access (she loves her cat door). In her current home she stays very nicely in the enclosed backyard, while cleverly climbing trees and structures and roofs and anything else she can get her paws on. In other words, she stays close by choice, but is very adventurous and loves heights. Sharkey’s favorite thing is cardboard boxes – she never met a box she didn’t like! She gets along really well with other cats, and while she has lived with dogs in the past she is not fond of them. She would tolerate a calm smaller dog but doesn’t like big jumpy ones. Sharkey has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Her $75 adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. She is in foster care; to meet her, submit an adoption application either online at www.CatRescues.org/forms, or a paper copy available at Petsmart. A volunteer will then follow-up for the next steps. For more information, send an email to adoptinfo@CatRescues.org or call 541-225-4955 option 1 ID #1504-C0158R
