Semi Domestic Short Hair Mix Minneapolis, MN

Semi is a 4.5-month-old kitten looking for a new name that better fits her ("Your Royal Highness" would be acceptable) and a forever home that will treat her as the royal personage she knows herself to be. The members of the household should be willing to share laps and snuggles on a regular basis. She would like an older dog that is willing to share warmth and companionship.

Semi has a large cat personality in a tiny kitten body. She has four brothers, all twice her size. She has learned to speak up for herself and is sure of what she wants in life (pillows to sit on, servants at her beck and call). She is not naturally athletic but is practicing her runs, jumps, leaps, and bug chasing. She is very attached to her humans. She doesn't like them to be out of sight range. She would not do well on her own for long stretches. She might do fine if she has a sedate canine companion to keep her company when her people are gone.

Semi loves her catnip mice and will play with them for long stretches, making up her own games. Active toys (people, live bugs, electronic bug toys) are even better. She excels at naps and can usually be found on a lap or on a throw pillow.

Semi doesn't need a big space, but she does enjoy her cat tower and looking out the window. She does need some space to run and jump but would be fine as an apartment cat. She is a somewhat lazy kitten and spends lots of time napping.

Semi lives with another cat and 4 adults in a split-level house. She is constantly threatening to trip up her humans on the stairs as she insists on accompanying them everywhere.

Semi needs a home with at least some sedate humans and/or canines always around. She would make an excellent emotional support cat. Her humans must be able to do their jobs while she is sitting on their lap. Luckily she is small and can fit into tight spaces. Her humans must also be ready to retrieve her toys from under the furniture and ensure she has a play area near a window. She is probably not ideal for a family with toddlers or others with mobility issues due to her propensity to be underfoot.

She is not scared of anything. If threatened, she will fight back. We have only seen this when she was coming out of anesthesia after her spay but she changed from cute and cuddly into ninja kitten as she was recovering.

All cats have received comprehensive veterinary care and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV unless otherwise stated. Cats are up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and/or ear mites, de-wormed, and microchipped. Please note there may be additional follow up visits and boosters that are not covered by Pet Haven after adoption.
