Hi, I'm Seahorse. I'm the formally-dressed kitty who is being fostered with my sister, Quail. We came to TCR after being surrendered from a home with too many cats. I am the most shy but also the most curious of the two of us. When you bring us home, you'll likely see me first but touch me last! My foster meowmy's nickname for me is Squid, because I like to run away when someone approaches me, and she says my long black tail is like a trail of ink left by a startled quid.

I like to remain in low places and find my way into compact, dark spaces like under dressers and the bottom of bookshelves. I appreciate environmental noises less than my sister, but my foster meowmy said I became bolder once she left a clock radio for us in our room, so a little something but not too loud will help to put me at ease. Anything I can do, my sister does better-and I like it like that; I look to her for guidance in everything I do.

My ideal home is one with older teens or adults who will respect my boundaries and aren't very loud. I will do well at first if confined to a small room with a radio going. I would love to have a home with a lot of scratching posts, scratch pads, and comfortable nooks and crannies to hide away. My sister and I also like to have a long hallway where we can run up and down to get in our morning exercises at 3am. We'd appreciate a bigger bed so that we can curl up together when it's time to sleep.
