It may be his large, sad eyes that draw you in.... Or his quiet and gentle demeanor…. Whatever the reason, we are hoping he catches your attention, because he is so deserving of a loving home. This handsome boy is Scruffy. He is 5 years old and was sadly let down by his humans at some point and was found living as a stray. He is now at NAWS and hoping for a chance to start over.

Scruffy is a quiet and sweet boy that came to us a little rough around the edges as many cats found as strays do. It breaks our hearts that he was homeless and outdoors fending for himself. It is obvious that he wants to be indoors and live as a companion. Scruffy takes a moment to make sure you mean him no harm, but as soon as you start petting him, he shows his affectionate and loving personality. He will slowly crawl forward for more pets and give head rubs on your hand hoping you do not stop. It quickly becomes obvious that this darling boy just wants LOVE! Imagine the loyalty and gratitude he will share with you if you give him a home where he can feel safe and cherished again.
