Saturday's Story

Saturday is part of a closely related group who came to us after their longtime caretaker passed away. They lived primarily outdoors with limited access to people socialization and are still learning how to feel safe and comfortable around humans. Because of this, they are not typical 'walk up and pet me' shelter cats.

Most of these cats are shy and very cautious with people. Most will hide, avoid touch, or take significant time to build trust. A few do show curiosity and allow very brief touch under very specific circumstances. They rely heavily on one another for comfort and confidence, so they are required to be adopted in pairs.

These cats are looking for patient adopters who understand that progress may be slow and that trust is something earned over time. Watching an under-socialized cat begin to feel safe, explore, play, and connect can be incredibly rewarding, but it requires realistic expectations, patience, and a calm environment.

Because of the unique needs of this group, same-day adoptions are not available, and interested adopters may be asked to speak with additional staff to ensure a good match.
Please visit https://felinerescue.org/all-cats/ to learn more about me and where I am located!
