Sassy's Story
An Amazing Story of Transition

Sassy came to us from a NJ SPCA where she was housed for her entire life of 7+ years. Overweight at 14lbs, not extremely mobile, and not having been socialized; she embraced her newfound freedom as a house cat!

Currently weighing a sprite 9.5 lbs Sassy has started to move and groove! She has made it to the windowsills where she loves to look outside! She enjoys the company of 2 dogs and a kitten.

Sassy is known as the home’s great Observer. Recently, she has started bringing toys to her humans. We think she’s been spying on the other animals and is learning how to imitate PLAY!

Sassy has been an excellent house guest (neat with her litter box, no scratched furniture, and hasn’t attempted going on countertops or tables).

One of Sassy’s eye’s iris extends into the cornea (it may not be apparent on her pictures). It is benign.

Sassy has come a long way since the SPCA and is looking for someone to complete her transition with ... someone special to bring her to her full Cat potential = ). Please consider Sassy as a Senior Adoption – she so deserves love and attention and clearly wants to live life to the fullest!

View the full bio/profile and photos/videos HERE:
https://www.felineurbanrescueandrehab.org/animals/detail?AnimalID=15724541

All FURR Cats & Kittens are seen by a vet before being posted online and have been:

Spayed / Neutered to help control the pet population
Microchipped to help ensure your best friend can be brought home if lost.
Vaccinated; FVRCP (Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, Panleukopenia) & Rabies (which is legally required in most states). These will need to be kept current after adoption.
Tested Negative for FIV & FELV unless otherwise noted on their profile
Treated with de-wormer, anti-parasitics, flea baths & prevention, ear mites and anything else our vet deems needed for good health. This can sometimes include antibiotics and eye/upper respiratory medicines, etc.
Many of our fosters also use pre/probiotics and vitamins to fully support their tiny immune systems during transitions.
