Sanders was originally trapped as part of a Trap-Neuter-Release effort, but it quickly became clear that he was a truly sweet and friendly boy. Sanders has overcome some health challenges and is now feeling much better-ready to find his forever home!

Sanders is FIV-positive (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus), but don't let that deter you! Cats with FIV can live long, healthy lives with proper care and are not much different than other cats. While FIV affects the immune system, its impact is often minimal with routine vet care. FIV is only transmitted through deep puncture wounds or mating-neither of which will be an issue for Sanders! He can safely live with FIV-negative cats. If you have any questions about FIV, we're happy to provide more information!

Sanders also has Feline Stomatitis, a chronic condition that causes inflammation in the mouth. Fortunately, it is very manageable with routine dental care and pain management. Sanders has already undergone a few dental procedures and is now at a stable, comfortable point in his treatment.
