Meet Sampson *Must be adopted with Powder*

Introducing one of the most comical bonded pairs you’ll ever meet: Samson “Lover” Mann and his brother Powder, also known as Baby Powder. These 2-year-old American Shorthairs are ready to bring laughter and love into their new home.

When they first arrived, this pair was curious yet a bit timid, especially around sudden loud noises and quick movements. After settling in, their unique personalities began to shine.

Both boys are curious, friendly, and playful — and they simply can’t abide closed doors! They’ll often camp outside a space they want to explore. They absolutely adore under-the-chin and behind-the-ear scratches, frequently rolling over to reveal their soft bellies for rubs. These Purr Machines are incredibly soft and silky!

Samson, the braver of the two, will approach you first. As soon as you start petting him, Powder follows, feeling encouraged by his brother’s comfort. Both boys love their kibble and enjoy the occasional treat of wet food.

Samson is quite literally the size of a baby and loves being held and carried. Powder, about a third smaller, can be held for short periods but is more likely to snuggle on the couch, keeping you company while you watch TV or read.

Both boys are big fans of playing, chasing, and wrestling with each other and are always up for a game with the laser pointer, a catnip mouse, or any string and feather toys. Powder especially loves to climb and is always curious about what’s on your plate. Securing your plants is also wise as he sometimes likes to explore the soil. Fortunately, neither is interested in eating the plants.

The boys have shown no aggression toward the resident cats in their foster home, and they respectfully back off when boundaries are set. They would likely adapt well to a home with other cats, and it’s possible they could adjust to a dog, though they may need a little time. Because they’re not fans of sudden movements and unpredictable noises, they would probably be best in a home without young children.

Sampson and Powder are up to date on vaccines, microchipped, neutered, and have tested negative for FIV and FeLV.
