Meet SAMMY *ADOPTION FEE SPONSORED*
Sammy is one special dude!
Spotted in a feral colony last November, this friendly, likely abandoned boy, desperately needed medical assistance.
Sammy had a large tumor protruding from his smelly right ear, a gaping, abscessed bite wound under his right jaw and persistent drooling.
He was quite a sight! Yet, he purred.
Sammy boy ‘s first surgery revealed a deeply rooted ear polyp, a nasty middle/inner ear infection, a draining track from the ear through his cheek and out his non-healing jaw wound, along with seven rotted teeth requiring extraction. Upon recovery, he purred.
Sweet Sammy‘s travails didn’t end here.
He twice broke out with allergic sores, first to flea medicine, then to foods.
Poor Sammy’s nasty ear infection returned as did his jaw abscess three more times. Another more intricate ear surgery was required.
The deep ear infections and surgeries have altered his ability to fully raise his right eyelid and perhaps mildly effected depth perception. That makes our “pirate kitty” even more endearing!
Through it all, this former outdoor cat has obligingly taken some terrible tasting medication. Sammy has fully embraced the indoor life, adopting specific tastes in litter, loungers, and wands.
He has generally learned the difference between a hand and a toy (and to not bite too hard when he doesn’t !). He’s a lover of laps and company.
And Sammy sings, yes sings, for attention. “Whoo whoo whoo”!
Good vibes, mojo and luck to my bestest boy, Sammy, in finding his forever home.
UPDATE: Great news!
POOP BAGS, distributor of Sammy’s beloved bamboo litter, “Catfidence”,
has generously offered to provide his future adopter with a free one year supply.
Moved by Sammy’s story, Poop Bags hopes this promotion helps him find his purrfect family.
