A champion at naps in the sunshine, and an aficionado of all kinds of kitty treats, two-year-old Samantha, or Sam, is the perfect match for someone looking for an easygoing and gentle friend. Sammy can be playful and silly, but she's also self-sufficient and generally content to entertain herself for most of the day, whether snoozing and gazing out the window or watching bird TV (look out, squirrels!).

What we know about Sam's story is limited, but she was probably abandoned by her former people. After an unknown amount of time outside, where she struggled, she started hanging out in a neighbor's yard in Crown Heights who fed her and tried to find her owner, and then to find someone to take her in. Thanks to our rescue community, we were able to get Sammy to the ASPCA for basic vet services and a scan for microchip (she had none) and then into a temporary foster home, where she has finally been able to relax and feel safe after the traumatic time she spent outdoors.

Sam is spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, and tested negative for FIV & FeLV. If you'd like to spoil this cutie with treats and comfy places to nap for the rest of her life, please apply!
