Juniper and Sage's mom was a stray in Waverly, Iowa, in the NW part of Waverly by Pizza Ranch for at least the last 6 months. A kind man felt bad for her so set up an outdoor shelter and fed her for in his back yard. He finally decided she deserved a better life. So she is now a Waverly Pet Rescue kitty. We got her shots, dewormed, flea preventative, tested FeLV / FIV negative, and spayed.

Mama cat is named Ivy and when we took Ivy in she was very much pregnant, oh my! Two weeks later she on May 5th, 2021, she had 2 healthy baby girls. Juniper and Sage! We also took in Grandma cat, she is named Poppy and is about 6 years old.

Juniper and Sage will be 9-weeks-old on July 7th, 2021. Apply now! You can apply, get approved, meet them, pay their non-refundable adoption fee, and then take them home on July 9th!

It is required that Juniper and Sage get adopted together and go to the same home. It is always best for young kittens to be adopted in pairs so they can play together and keep each other company when you are not home.

It is also required the adopter be willing to bring them back to Waverly when on October 2021 when they are 5-months old so that our vet can spay them. We will pay for their spay. If you cannot to this, do not apply please.

Juniper and Sage have grown up with a sweet mama cat who did great raising them. They have been given lots of love by the humans in their foster home. They are fun and playful. They love to play and wrestle with each other.

This summer we are going to work on trapping, vetting more cats in NW Waverly, and putting the feral ones on a nice farm. Here is our online fundraiser if you would like to help with that:

Will someone please adopt Juniper and Sage and give them a forever home? $190 adoption fee for both kittens + $210 spay deposit that you will get back once they are spayed for a total of $400.

WE ARE A NO-KILL 501-C-3 NON-PROFIT RESCUE. All donations are tax deductible. We do not have a shelter. All pets live in foster homes. We only adopt to indoor homes. To see an animal, you must fill out an application first and then once approved, we can set up for you to meet the animal you are interested in. We do background checks on all applicants. If you have assault, domestic abuse, or drug charges please do not apply. If you have questions, please send an email to waverlypetrescue@mchsi.com

All animals see a vet for shots and normal exams. If they appear healthy and there are no obvious health concerns, then extensive testing is not done. This is normal procedure for pet rescues and shelters.
Waverly Pet Rescue puts a lot of money into medical care for each dog and cat we take in. $200 is the average cost for basic care. This does not include if the animal had an injury, required extra flea / ear mite treatments, or needed extra days at the vet office.
