MEET SAGE!

Sage is around 8 years old and joined City of Elderly Love after her lifelong owner and longtime member of the Philadelphia animal rescue world passed away. Their friends and family rallied to find safe places for their beloved pets and we were happy to welcome Sage!

Sage is now safe in foster care where she is living with other cats, a couple dogs, and small children. She gets along well with everyone but we think she'd absolutely thrive in a little bit less of a busy household. She took a little while to settle into a brand new house and family but now that she has, she's coming out of her shell and is proving to be a super sweet, laid-back cat! She enjoys spending her days sitting in the window watching the birds fly by and bossing the other cats in the house around, like any true feline. Like many cats, Sage loves attention and is tolerant of pets until she's done and when she's over it, she's over it and lets you know with a little swat. 

We think Sage would love a lower-key home to spend her golden years where she can have a while to settle in and get used to her new setting and family and not be pressured to be their best friend right off the bat. Your patience will pay off in the end in the form of a gorgeous little furry companion. She'd be happy to co-exist with other low-key pets but likely isn't suited for a home with young, rambunctious pets/kids.
