Hello, my name is Sadie! I am a beautiful, super friendly and loving kitty. I have soft, shiny, sleek black fur and I love being petted. My best friend Maura needs a home too and we need a home together. Maura is a shorthaired brown tabby cat and we are both spayed females. For eight years, we've lived together in a quiet retirement home with our human mom. Sadly, she passed away on Christmas morning. Our whole world turned upside-down. At least we have each other, but we need a calm, quieter home together. It's what we are used to. We love people and kids. We have never lived with dogs before. We love to play with toys, to climb our kitty tower and to snuggle in our kitty condos. We enjoy being brushed and loved. Maura is a bit quieter than I am, but who isn't? I am a very social, outgoing kitty. Maura is a soft-souled kitty, sensitive and very loving. We are litterbox trained and we use our scratching posts. We do eat a Hill's prescription diet that costs about $45 every six weeks or so, plus some wet food. I had a history of urinary crystals, but I am all better now that I am on this food. BONUS: we come with all of our stuff: basket of toys, kitty beds and blankets, our cat tower, Comfort Zone plug-in diffuser and a dozen refills, litterboxes and dishes. Adoption Process: Complete the application at www.pawsforliferescue.org. We then arrange a location, date and time for you to meet some pets. If the meeting goes well and everyone is happy, you begin the mandatory, minimum two-week adjustment period with the pet as part of your family. You will pay the non-refundable adoption fee at the start of the two-week adjustment period. This pending period allows your new dog or cat time to adjust to their new home, new people, new routine, etc., and for you to decide if it's a match and the right pet for you. At the end of two weeks (some people extend the adjustment time as needed and that's fine too), if everyone is happy, then we finalize the adoption. Feel free to email if you have any questions.
