Meet Rowan
Rowan is a male Flame Point Siamese mix. Rowan has short hair. He is no ordinary house cat. As a Siamese mix, he tends to be more energetic, more playful, super smart and needs a lot of human engagement to keep him happy. Siamese cats are known for opening doors and cupboards, stealing items from around the house and hiding them away, and having the knack for getting into mischief if not properly supervised. Rowan is the most laid back of the kittens in this litter, but does have his crazy time and gets the zoomies running around every which to play and have fun. Rowan is the most affectionate of this trio who are all purr monsters, but Rowan likes to be held and absolutely does not like to be alone. His best friend is Rosin or Ruari. He never sleeps by himself.
Most people immediately focus on the fact that they look beautiful, but please consider all of the Siamese traits as you are deciding whether to make one of these cats your companion for many years to come. Most Siamese are not content to sit serenely on the sofa and passively observe what’s going on — they want to be right in the middle of everything, helping and supervising whatever you are doing. This behavior extends far past the typical kitten age, and it is not unusual for a Siamese in her teens to joyfully romp after a string or toss a catnip mouse in the air.
Because Siamese bond so well with humans, like interactive entertainment, toys, and stimulation to keep them happy, this is NOT a cat for someone who lives alone or works away from home for more the 8 hours a day. This guy needs a companion. It is any absolute must for Rowan. A second (or third, or forth) feline companion can go along way towards keeping this little fellow from being lonely.
