Say hello to sweet sassy Rosemary. This fabulous girl's story is sad but yet inspiring. Rosemary was brought to HART'S attention one cold October day. She was fighting to survive the cold hard life as a stray. A compassionate lady was feeding her as best as she could but the strain on her 7 to 8 yr old body was too much. You see Rosemary weighed just 4.3 pounds, yet she still continued to nurse her 6 week old kittens to ensure they survived. That's where Hart stepped in and took her and her kittens in.

Her foster was shocked to discover that Rosemary was missing the vast majority of her teeth. Along with a pretty nasty upper respiratory infection it was no wonder she was so skinny. The decision was made that she could no longer be allowed to nurse her kittens. Which unfortunately due to her poor health resulted in her getting mastitis. But with antibiotics and plenty of food, she slowly recovered her health. She gained 2.5 pounds in a month.

Fast forward to January 3rd when she was finally at a good weight to be spayed. The vet tech while shaving her belly noticed a lump. She mentioned it to the vet and he decided to have it biopsyed. A long 5 days passed till the results came in..Beign!!! She still has to have surgery to ensure that the mass is gone. Which is scheduled for January 19th.

Her kittens have all been adopted and it's now her turn. She is a lover and wants all the attention. She will do best in a home with either another calm cat or someone who is home often. No dogs due to her life as a stray she is petrified of them. Her foster says she is unsure if Rosemary will be good with children under 3 yrs old.With all this girl has been through, we are hopeful that she can finally find a home to call her own.
