Meet Rodney
Rodney showed up at ARC one day and never left, we suppose he realized pretty quickly that with regular feedings and kind people ARC was the place to be! Although he enjoyed the good food, he would not let anyone near him in the beginning. Over time, some staff members gained his trust and he was able to be neutered and vaccinated, then released back out to enjoy his time as a feral cat... so we thought! It's been about a year, but Rodney is now a huge lovebug, even with new people! So, we think it's time to find him a forever home!
Rodney enjoys being outside, but will come in occasionally. He is okay with some cats, but will defend his territory with others. We think the key here is space, he is not aggressive, just doesn't like some cats in his space. He loves people though, without a doubt! He would make a wonderful barn cat or indoor/outdoor kitty!
With time, he could probably get used to the indoor only lifestyle, especially if there are fewer kitties in the home where he could settle in in peace. Unfortunately, ARC does not provide that setting for him.
If you want to meet Rodney and potentially make him part of your family, please fill out an adoption application from our website, http://animalrefugecenter.org/adoption-application/. Or if you have questions about Rodney or the adoption process, please hit the inquiry button and we'll be in touch!
