Rocco's Story
Rocco is a stunning 9 month young, Bengal who joined the Chance at Life family on February 10, 2026. He did not come with papers, but we know he originally came from a breeder and is an F4 or F5 (Fully Domesticated) based on his personality.

It is a long story as how he came to be with us that will be discussed with applicants when applications are being reviewed.

What we do know and can share is that Rocco is very sweet and was formerly with 2 other cats at one point. He was not fully vaccinated or neutered, so he was being let out for having "litter box issues" instead of getting him neutered. As soon as we got him, he was tested, updated on his vaccines, checked for fleas, dewormed and neutered. We have not had any litter box issues!

Through trial and error, we learned that Rocco cannot "handle" any wet food other than pate. If he eats chunks, shreds, etc., he will throw up and then his belly is upset for a few days, and he will not want to eat. Currently he is on Pro Plan Sensitive Skin & Stomach (Artic Char & Duck) which is not prescription and widely available. We are going to try some other flavors. He does not seem to like dry food or treats.

Rocco likes human companionship and being brushed. He will lie down to sleep with you and although he does let you pick him up, he does not seem to be a fan of being held for long periods. He is not a fan of having his nails cut (but what cat really likes that?!) We have not seen Rocco play with toys and catnip seems to have no effect on him, but it just may be that he still has to settle in. He may do well in a home with other cats with proper introductions.

DOB - 05/22/25

Up to date on vaccinations, neutered and FIV/FeLV negative.

You must be at least 18 years of age to adopt. If you live in a parent or guardian's home, they must complete the application. An application does not guarantee an adoption. Our cats and kittens are not adopted on a first come, first served basis, but whom we feel would be the best fit for our cats and kittens.

If interested please e-mail us at Chanceatliferescue@gmail.com or download an application from our websitehttp://www.chanceatlifecatrescue.com/.
