Meet Rioja

Meet Rioja! Named after the wine producing region in Spain whose plush bold reds are known for the heavy use of oak aging, she will mature into the most delightfully spicy cat for the right person.

Rioja is a very intelligent, high energy and vocal kitten. While she does enjoy a bit of fuss during her down time, she is not the classic lap cat and behaves more like a dog. She would rather move around purring to get her pets than sit still for long periods of time. Rioja can get jealous on occasion of attention given to other cats or when sharing her favorite toys, but she is generally tolerant and may do well with smaller dogs. However, she requires human affection over entertainment from other animals in the household and can show signs of anxiety if left alone for too long. Rioja would do best with a patient parent (ideally a couple) who either works from home or is retired, and has the time and energy to exercise her multiple times a day. She is the type of cat who could do well with being leash trained for supervised outdoor adventures.

Hobbies: Chatting, making biscuits, and playing fetch.
Likes: Chin pets and springs. So many springs.
Dislikes: Not getting enough attention, especially for play time.
