Meet Rhonda

Rhonda is a sweet and low-key girl who wants nothing more than to show her appreciation with cuddles and face scritches on her face and the bridge of her nose. Even though she has a more settled personality, she is a little hunter and enjoys chasing a string or a feathered wand toy! This polydactyl babe is an expert biscuit maker and will make a very cute face with her mouth open ecstatically when you pet around her nose. She doesn't have any teeth, and she'll sometimes gently nibble when getting cuddles.

We believe Rhonda would be happiest as the queen of someone's castle. She can be a bit sensitive around the other adult and kitten fosters in the household, but we know that she can thrive as the solo artist in your home. Overall, she's pretty low-energy, content to stay in her cozy bed until you enter the room, then she'll come forward with a big stretch to greet you.

Rhonda has a pretty sad backstory that we prefer to share with potential adopters in person, but we do know that despite all that she's been through, she has the most incredibly loving spirit, very trusting, and always ready to give and receive affection. Seeing the progress she's made since being rescued has been inspiring. She is very sweet, in contrast to her serious resting facial expression, which her foster finds extra endearing. Rhonda had a bad cold when first rescued and has improved tremendously, though she will always have a bit of congestion. She's been seen by a vet this year to address some medical concerns along with getting her dental completed, and the vet has given her the all clear to start searching for her forever home! Please keep in mind that she is FIV+, which we know she can live a long and quality life with, but it does mean her immune system is a bit more compromised than a kitty without FIV. That being said, a quality diet along with regular vet visits will keep her feeling great! This is what a potential parent would want to do for their kitty anyways.
