Renji's Story

Renji is a lively juvenile kitten born in July 2025. Renji is one of 5 practically identical kittens and is currently being fostered with 2 of his other siblings. He originally had been given an easy release collar to identify him from his other siblings, but because he kept removing it he now sports a temporary bit of a bald spot on his head to be able to identify him from his siblings.

Ranji likes to explore and play like most kittens, but when he is ready to snuggle, he can be a bit insistent. He loves to just be held and cuddled while his fosterer works on the computer. Occasionally he will even lick and nuzzle. When he has ridden in the carrier with his other siblings, he seemed the most calm though did like to hang out at the front sticking his paw out to be touched.

He has been socialized with a very active cocker spaniel, though does not like playing with the dog. When the dog gets too active he will find ways to get away or hide from the dog. He and his siblings like most kittens learned quickly how to unroll a roll of toilet paper and his crew even figured out how to do it no matter which direction the roll was installed. Lately as they have been given greater freedom of the house, he has found other distractions and the roll seems to be spared most of the time.

To adopt you must first complete an adoption application and meet the cat in its foster home. We do not do same day adoptions so, generally, we can only adopt within the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
