Meet Ralphie
Ralph was rescued from the Stockton animal shelter on July 22 and had been with them almost 2 months. He has the sweetest temperament. When he approaches you for love, he turns his backside towards you so you can scratch by his tail!
The minute you start talking to him he makes biscuits with his paws and looks at you with the most loving eyes. He loves to be brushed and will sit on your lap once he’s comfortable. He still has some apprehension and will take a minute to trust someone new but once he does, he will make a great companion.
He was not adoptable at the shelter because he needs a dental and they were not able to do that for him so they contacted us so we could help him and of course we said yes!
We are guesstimating he’s around seven years old based on the way his teeth looked but he’s had his dental and he is all fixed up and ready to go. He may have some issues moving forward with chronic stomatitis but there are ways to keep him comfortable if he has a flareup and it’s certainly not a reason to deny him a great life.
LapCats are either in a home being fostered by a foster family, or in one of our adoption centers inside PetSmart at either 8215 Laguna Boulevard, Elk Grove or 8226 Delta Shores Circle South, Sacramento. Our cats are spayed or neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, have been tested for FELV/FIV, treated with a flea preventative, have been wormed and are micro-chipped. Their $100.00 adoption fee also includes micro-chip registration, a county license for Sacramento County residents, a free office visit with a participating veterinarian, a free bag of food, free nail trimmings FOR LIFE, PetSmart coupons, assorted toys, and other complimentary items.
If you are interested in adopting a cat from our program, the first step in our process is to visit our web site at LAPCATS.org and complete our online application. If you have questions, please email us at info@lapcats.org. Our website is Lapcats.org and is a wealth of information and resources.
