Raisin was surrendered to an open admission animal control facility when her owner was moving.

ABOUT:
Raisin can be a bit of a timid girl. She has been in her foster home for a few weeks, and will still run and hide when they enter her room. But she quickly remembers they’re cool, and comes right back out to say hi. At around 12 years old she’s generally a low energy girl, but occasionally gets excited about crinkle balls or mice toys.

Raisin is being fostered in a home with multiple cats and has a mostly live-and-let-live attitude with everyone. She doesn’t interact with any of them that often, but doesn’t cause any troubles either. She’d be cool with a cat roommate(s), and we think she’d be cool as an only cat too. We do not know how Raisin would be with dogs, it is possible she might be ok with a very calm, very low energy dog who leaves her alone, but a home without dogs would be the easiest since we do not know how she would be with a dog.

Once you win her trust she’s a pretty chill girl. She doesn’t mind being held, you can pet her anywhere, but ear scratches are her favorite. She loves being brushed so that will be a great way for her forever family to help bond with her. Once she gets to know you she is not afraid to ask for her needs to be met by meowing and dancing around until you pet or brush her.

Her ideal home will be on the calm and quiet side. No children or busy households for her as all that action and commotion is too scary for her and she will just spend all her time hiding.
