Racine's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If you're working for home or just playing it safe by practicing social distancing, now is a perfect time to bring a new furry family member into the fold. Email us any questions about any cats we have and we will be happy to provide any additional information you may need. If you are approved for adoption, we are now doing curbside adoptions in order to minimize contact.
Racine is about 5 months old as of 9/7/25. Born outside, she has done great with socialization with her fosters. She is a very timid girl and will take a special home that can be very patient with her while she adjusts and gets brave. Her fears can lead to a hiss at first, but she is not aggressive. Once she gets over her fears, she loves to be held and petted. Racine will need a segregated room while she adjusts. With time and patience and a family that will let Racine do things on her own, she will be a great addition. Side her with patience and time while she adjusts to new surroundings. Racine has 3 siblings and played well with them. With proper, slow introduction she will adjust to other cats. She's spayed and fully vaccinated and ready for her FOREVER home. Approved applications will be contacted within 48 hoursAll of our cats have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed, microchipped, and tested for FIV/FeLV. Our adoption fee structure is as follows:

$75 - Kittens/Young (Up to 1 year)
$50 - Adult (1 Year +)
$25 - Senior (7 Years +)
$0 - FIV +
There is an additional $25 fee for cats considered to be an "Exotic" (Siamese, Persian, etc...)
If you are a senior (65 years or older) you can adopt any of our senior cats (7 years or older) for only $10! Please mention this special when applying.
We also have a kitten special - adopt 2 available kittens (1 year & under) for $125

While we try to keep our animal listings up-to-date online, sometimes the age range may be labelled incorrectly. Please don't hesitate to contact us for the most up-to-date information on a particular cat.
Our cats are shown by appointment - we are a foster based rescue and so we don't have a location with set hours.

If you are interested in adopting or would like to meet our cats, please fill out our adoption application online at
www.safehousepets.org/info/adoption
and a volunteer will contact you promptly.
