Pumpkin is a loving and gentle 9-month-old kitten looking for his forever home!

Pumpkin is so soft and sweet. He enjoys having his belly rubbed and loves to hold his foster mom's hand with his front paws when he is being rubbed. He'll gently paw at her hand (never any claws!) to get her to continue the rubs. He will cautiously touch noses when he feels really safe.

Pumpkin LOVES feather wands! He will spend hours chasing them through the air. When he catches the feather, he will try to take the entire wand with him. He also really enjoys chasing small cat toys when they are thrown. He even has fun with them when they’re not being thrown by a human because he’ll just throw them around by himself. Each night his foster mom gathers all 20 toys on the bed—as soon as she does, he runs to the cat tower and proceeds to fly around the room chasing each one. Other favorite activities include the kitty tunnel and climbing the cat towers to look out the windows.

Pumpkin currently lives in a home with two adults and other young cats. He gets along well with other cats, but because his foster mom is currently working with him to bond with humans more than cats, he doesn't spend all his time with the resident cats. He has not been introduced to dogs, and would probably do best with older, patient children.

Pumpkin's ideal home would be with humans who give him time to adjust on his own schedule. It won’t take long for him to start to show his true self if he feels safe—he was playing and jumping next to his foster mom on the bed within two days of coming to her home. He will initially need a separate room to hang out in as he adjusts. He's been in foster care for a bit over 2 weeks and he now sleeps curled up with his foster for a large part of the night, although he still hides when he meets new people. His foster mom describes him as a holiday with presents: the more he relaxes, the more gifts he gives you, like head bumps and body rubs.

Pumpkin's new family will have lots of fun seeing his daily changes and feeling their bond with him grow. He is such a love!

Please note there may be additional follow up visits and boosters that are not covered by Pet Haven after adoption.
