Pugsley NYC Siam Siamese New York, NY

Well well well, it's been a long time since we have had a Siam in house and check out how gorgeous this one is! Pugsley--yes, that's his name!--is 3y young and weighing in at a solid 11lbs (we'll trim him down on a healthy all canned food diet) and while he came in from his home with 2 other cats, he's pretty independent and prefers his new home without. Just neutered and scared so we are recommending a quiet home without young children. Please apply asap so he doesn't have to get used to cats and dogs in foster and instead get used to you!

Notes from previous home: Lived Indoors with 1 adult and is very fearful around other cats and around children, avoiding them at all cost if possible. He is an alpha who has never met a dog and would prefer to keep it that way. He is a very affectionate cat who will follow you in the home and will make himself comfortable any way he can. When it is time to sleep he will curl up in his bed but during play time he likes to play with his ball or string. Pugsley eats a combination of wet and dry food 2X a day (changing that to ALL canned. He used an uncovered litter box with crystals. Pugsley does need a scratching post or, even better, a cat tree of his own. He enjoys being brushed and picked up--not so much his nails or his carrier.

All our cats are in the NY area and can be adopted out of state. We do like to meet you so plan on picking up; if flying, in cabin only; in some cases we will help with transport.

Please note: kittens MUST be adopted in pairs or to households with age appropriate cat(s) to ensure proper socialization and companionship. NO exceptions! If you would prefer a solo cat, we are happy to recommend cats who would do best as solos. Cats are spayed/neutered, FIV/Felv tested, FVRCP and Rabies vaxed, and microchipped.

Many of us (cats/dogs) will be on display on Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent--please ask by writing us at cats@zanisfurryfriends.org and following us on FB. If you are seriously interested in adopting one of us in particular, please fill out an application by Friday so that we can be sure to be there. Otherwise we decide based on other variables. Usually we are in our foster homes so this is a bit more stressful and a slightly artificial environment but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes too. Please come! And if you can't adopt, you can perhaps foster, volunteer, and of course, you can always donate!
