Meet Professor Gadget

Introducing the one and only PROFESSOR GADGET -- a handsome and very friendly 3-year-old male kitty who is white with a gray tabby mask, cape, and tail. He is a big, bold boy full of life and mischief, who is both FIV+ and FeLV+ and it’s not slowing him down one bit! The Professor is quite muscular and even sports a bit of a swagger (very noticeable when he’s strolling over to his favorite lounging area). One might think he is really active – but he’s more of a hippie than a hard body. If you happen to observe him racing anywhere, it’s mostly because he’s hot to get to any one of his favorite spots where he’ll just stop, drop and flop over on his side, happily receiving your pets and adoration while he watches the world go by. Although Professor Gadget is very healthy right now, he does have FeLV (feline leukemia) and FIV (the feline immunodeficiency virus). He could have many years of good life left, or several years, or something in between. He is looking for an understanding companion who will enjoy his company, revel in his quirky cuteness, and celebrate his EOKK (Essence of Kooky Katness) -- someone who will love him and give him a chance to have a caring home of his very own for his remaining years. These viruses can’t be transmitted to dogs or people (and he does get along fine with friendly dogs). Both for his own well-being and for other cats’ health and safety, he needs to be an indoor-only cat, and either be the only cat or in a household live with other FeLV+ cats. In exchange for caring for him, he will reward you with devoted companionship! He is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet exam. His adoption fee is $60, which provides care and finds loving homes for other abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. Professor Gadget is currently in Petco at 1169 Valley River Drive, Eugene. Please submit an adoption application at www.CatRescues.org/forms, or a paper copy available at Petco. A volunteer will then follow-up for the next steps. For more information, send an email to adoptinfo@CatRescues.org or call 541-225-4955 option 1. ID # 1703-C0066V
