Health: Vaccinations up to date, spayed / neutered, special needs. This pet was found to be positive on a snap test for feline leukemia virus but tested negative several months later on IFA which is a more sensitive test. These discordant results could be the result of a previous false positive or could mean that Buffington was infected but his body may have cleared the virus. Viral diseases can be difficult to track and because of these discordant results, you should follow up with your veterinarian and follow their recommendations. Until then, please keep Buffington separated from other cats that are not vaccinated against feline leukemia virus.

Meet Professor Buffington

Professor Buffington is a nine year old, neutered male, buff orange and white tabby that tested positive for Feline Leukemia Virus. He has been in foster care for the past month and is waiting to find his perfect forever home. His foster family says that he is the most affectionate and loving cat ever. He is wonderful and relaxed with young children. He is also playful but his favorite pastime is relaxing right beside you in bed. He loves meal time and is very attentive to humans.
